University of York offers free online training for businesses

Staff and tutors from the University of York have written and developed a package of free online training to support regional businesses and charities during Covid-19.

The courses, a mix of live and pre-recorded content, build on the team’s excellent knowledge and reputation for delivering Leadership and Management development programmes to businesses.

Topics include staff wellbeing, how to pivot your organisation, marketing strategies, managing change, building virtual teams and resilience.

The courses have already benefitted businesses and their employees, helping them to navigate these challenging times and improve their workforce’s resilience and wellbeing.

So far, 234 delegates from 88 different businesses have booked onto courses.

Testimonials include:

"Great course, great materials and some easy tools to take away."
Nick Vernon - Portakabin

"I really enjoyed the interaction and activities of the workshop and hearing about the challenges other organisations are experiencing too. Highly recommend to anyone who is supporting their organisation through change."
Lee Newbould - Benenden Health

You can book online at york.ac.uk/online-training and new courses on strategies for business recovery are due to be added in September.
